Microsoft Surface - I want one.

by Francis Ablola

This is like something out of the movie Minority Report. My friend Todd pointed me to Microsoft Surface. Surface is a desk-like display that lets you grab and manipulate data with your hands using natural gestures and touch. It lets you interact with handheld units and transfer information to work collaboratively around the table.

I’m leaving for Seattle tonight to spend a few days visiting my brother before Search Marketing Expo. A stop to tour the MS campus is definitely on the agenda. Does anyone know if a working model is on display at Redmond?

A Story of Enlightenment

by Bernard Ablola

Deepak Chopra in Seattle

Bernard Ablola and Deepak Chopra in Seattle on May 15th, 2007.

There are no extra pieces in the universe. Everyone is here because he or she has a place to fill, and every piece must fit itself into the big jigsaw puzzle. ” - Deepak Chopra

Deepak Chopra was in Seattle to discuss his new book, Budda: A Story of Enlightenment. I look forward to reading it and discussing on this blog. Deepak tells the story of Budda and his path to enlightenment. Deepak mentioned we may see this story on the big screen. I have been a long time reader and listener of Deepak Chopra’s books on spirituality, health and meditation and look forward to being enlightened.

StomperNet Trial - Week 1

by Francis Ablola

I’ve been digging around the StomperNet free trial for the past week or so. I’m actually quite surprised with the amount of information available to full members. Unfortunately, I can only see a sneak peek of everything since I’m in trial mode and I get cut off in the middle of the video. There are a ton of video training sessions that walk users through, step-by-step, skills like keyword research and setting up an AdWords account. Pretty basic stuff, but I wish I had a resource like this when I was getting started in search. I haven’t seen much value for someone with more experience in search marketing, but there is still a few more weeks to go in the trial. They say they’ve got a few bonuses for more experience marketers to be revealed during the next few weeks, so we’ll wait and see. I’ll continue to dig around and hopefully pick up a new tactic or two.

StomperNet $1 - 30 Day Trial

by Francis Ablola

If you’re in Internet or search engine marketing and haven’t heard of StomperNet you must have been living under a rock. These guys (Brad Fallon and Andy Jenkins) know how to launch a product and have been going full steam this past week for the reopening of membership to the try it before you buy it crowd (like me). I just signed up for StomperNet’s $1 dollar trial and have been looking through the members area. I must say there there is a ton of information that full members get. Unfortuntely, $1 members don’t get full access. The 30 day trial opened today and closes Friday at midnight. I say it’s worth taking a look at, and much better than the $795 per month price take usually attached. I’ll keep you up to day of my progress through these next 30-days. $795 a month is a lot of cash to spend on a program, but if it works - it works.
